Our Church History

The journey of faith that brought us to where we are today

A Legacy of Faith

Spreading The Good News Ministries was established as a church on November 21, 1999. The foundation of the ministry was divinely inspired through Rollock's Christian Outlook, where the Lord revealed that "Spreading the Good News" was not simply a phrase, but the identity of the ministry He was calling into existence.

God spoke to our Senior Pastor, Dr. Macki Rollock, instructing her that the time had come to establish the church. When she asked if God was going to name it, the Lord responded, "You have already named it." As she sought further understanding, the Lord spoke again and said, "You already have the name. Take away the dots after 'Spreading the Good News' and add 'Ministries.'" In obedience to that divine instruction, Spreading The Good News Ministries was officially established.

From its beginning, the ministry was founded with a clear mandate: to be a sanctuary where God's agape love is demonstrated and experienced, and where believers are firmly rooted in the biblical knowledge of Jesus Christ. The church was established to operate under sound doctrine, powerful teaching, and Spirit-led preaching, led by spiritually mature leaders with discerning spirits.

Spreading The Good News Ministries was also birthed with a heart for restoration and inclusion. The church was called to embrace those who are often marginalized, including individuals struggling with addiction, single and teenage mothers, runaways, and those transitioning from the prison system. Through love, discipleship, and worship, the ministry seeks to restore lives and draw people into the presence of the Lord.

Throughout its history, Spreading The Good News Ministries has remained committed to tearing down old traditions, outdated mindsets, and harmful stigmas that hinder spiritual growth, while teaching believers how to worship God with their whole heart. As God breathes upon His people, the ministry continues to stand as a living expression of the Gospel, devoted to transformation, renewal, and the advancement of God's Kingdom.

The Beginning

A Vision Is Born

Our founders received a divine calling to establish a Spirit-filled church that would spread the good news of Jesus Christ throughout the community.

Early Years

Growing Roots

Starting with a small group of faithful believers, we began meeting together for prayer, worship, and Bible study. The Holy Ghost fire was evident from the very first gathering.

Expansion

A Tree with Many Branches

As God blessed our ministry, we expanded to include multiple branches—youth ministry, outreach programs, discipleship classes, and more—each serving the diverse needs of our community.

Building Community

A Place to Call Home

We established our permanent home, a place where generations of believers could gather, worship, and grow together in faith.

Today

Continuing the Mission

We continue to spread the good news, reaching our community and beyond through worship services, online ministry, outreach programs, and discipleship.

"From one seed of faith planted by our founders, God has grown a tree with many branches—each one reaching people with the transforming power of His love."

Looking to the Future

Our history is still being written. As we look to the future, we remain committed to our founding vision—to be a church where the Holy Ghost fire never goes out. We believe our best days are ahead as we continue to spread the good news and expand our reach.

We invite you to become part of our story. Together, we can continue this legacy of faith and make an eternal impact in our world.
